Fantastic Tour from Southampton at the end of our cruise!!!
, Oct 2019
We ended our cruise in Southampton and I was looking for a tour that transferred us back to London. I booked this excursion and it was perfect. It worked out that there was only one other couple going with us, so the trip was by mini van.
Our driver met us as we left the ship and loaded our bags into the van. We left Southampton and he told us a bit of history in Southampton. We drove about an hour to our first stop, Salisbury Cathedral. We got information about the history as we drove there. He drove us right up next to the wall around it and then walked us in. Showed us what we could do in the Cathedral or walking back to the main street. We had an hour and a half to explore on our own. It was perfect and we enjoyed it very much. We were able to explore the Cathedral and visit the Magna Carta display. Then a bit of shopping. We met him at the appointed time and we were off.
We drove about 30 minutes to Stonehenge with a narrative of the area and history. Then again, he got our tickets (we had prepaid with for it) and told us what we could do and we had an hour and half to see it and visit the visitor center, shops and cafe. We had audio devices to use at this site. A perfect amount of time and enjoyed it. We met him at the van and we drove to the next stop.
The final stop was Windsor Castle, a little over an hour drive. He walked us in and bought our tickets and gave us directions and we had two hours at this site. We walked the grounds and visited the Queens apartments (restoration work going on now). Then down to St George's Chapel. You could get and audio tour, if you want. We didn't think there would be time to listen and see it all. So we skipped it. Perfect for us.
We met him at 4 pm and we drove to Heathrow airport to drop off the other couple. Then he drove us into London to our hotel. We were dropped off about 5:30 pm. A great day for us! We had seen all the sites before, but it had been more than 20 years, so it was great to spend the day doing this. Love that we could do at our our own pace and spend time as we wanted to!
When your cruise concludes in the city of Southampton, discover the delights of the English countryside on a post-shore excursion to London via Salisbury, Stonehenge, and Windsor. With a knowledgeable guide, experience must-see attractions like the medieval Salisbury Cathedral and the mysterious stone ring of Stonehenge. Visit the quintessential town of Windsor to see the world’s oldest occupied castle and then travel directly to your London hotel in a comfortable, air-conditioned coach.
Fantastic tour. Our bus driver and guide (David) grew up in the area and had interesting and funny tales to tell. They were filming a movie in Edinburgh and many streets were closed. No problem for David as he detoured us around the closures and was able to get us to all the sites listed on the itinerary. The tour was through Timberbush Tours. Can not say enough good things about our guide. Best shore trip on our 12 day cruise.
The tour guide was very pleasant but maybe less experienced than others. The Royal Yacht Brittania was a highlight. Edinbugh Castle was sooo crowded. Not enough stops for picture opportunities and the tour seemed a bit unorganized.
Experience the grandeur of Scotland’s brooding capital with a full-day shore excursion of Edinburgh. With an expert guide, journey by coach to the city’s main attractions such as the formidable Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace, and the Royal Yacht Britannia, owned by the British Royal Family for more than four decades! Accompany your local guide on a stroll along the Royal Mile and through Old Town, the city’s oldest quarter strewn with historic landmarks.
This was such a special day. . the small van allowed us to explore small, quaint villages that otherwise would not be available to us. We parked, got out and walked a lot, which was a perfect way to feel and experience these villages. Graham was fabulous, a natural host and full of information and knowledge we could never have collected on our own. I can not recommend this day trip too highly. . . and I can not think of one that that I could offer to improve it, other than to make the day never end. :-)
Our guide/driver was outstanding - interesting, amusing and very knowledgeable. He grew up in the area and had lots of interesting stories about the places we visited. We visited at least 5 or 6 Cotswold hamlets and villages and explored the unique features of each. The minivan only holds 8 passengers so you are assured of a personal, small-group experience.. I have taken many similar tours in many countries but this was definitely one of the best.
Admire the best-known and hidden villages of England’s Cotswolds on this full-day small-group tour from Oxford. Traveling by air-conditioned minivan with a driver-guide, stop to explore villages such as Great Tew and Stow-on-the-Wold, and the hamlets of the Windrush valley. The best way to spend my layover in London! Becky was great and had a plan for us to see everything. Word to the wise though...bring your walking shoes as we walked 5 miles. It was totally worth it! Thanks Becky!

We arrived after 11:00 and there were no que’s. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Audio-guides excellent and allowed us to enjoy the rooms that were open on the day at leisure. Well worth a visit.
Enjoy the entire day and visit beautiful and quaint Windsor. Visit St George's Chapel (scene of Megan and Harry's Wedding), Queen Mary's Doll house. the State Apartments. Enjoy walking through history, built be William the Conqueror. Be there at 11 A. M. and enjoy the changing of the guard. Safe, interesting, leisurely way to see Bath and Windsor Castle
, Sep 2019
We needed reliable transportation from Southampton cruise port to our Heathrow hotel, and this tour fit the bill perfectly. Our guide, Maj, waited patiently for us to exit our cruise ship after a docking delay. Throughout the all-day tour, he and our driver, Michael, were kind, friendly, and knowledgeable about the places we visited. Thanks so much.
Enjoyed the experience of a personalized transfer from Southampton to Heathrow with stops at Bath and Windsor. The driver and guide were great. Pickup at the ship was on time and easy. Had time to walk around both stops and enjoyed both areas. Sure beats a non-stop van ride from point A to point B.

I always enjoy the countryside tours offered by Viator. The picture of the Seven Sisters is exactly like on my phone now because Lawrence took us to a more local spot for a short hike to the view. Lawrence was very informative of region. Check out brightonandbeyond tours
Lawrence was super knowledgeable and brought us to some interesting secret spots. The weather was windy in the morning but Lawrence let us wait for the sun to come out before we left the spots to take some nice pictures. Thanks so much for all the arrangement!

This was truly a one of a kind experience. My daughter and I were looking for an alternate experience as we had visited the Cotswolds previously and done the touristy portions. We wanted to really experience the Cotswolds at the core and see/learn things we wouldn’t normally. Ian was amazing and showed us a beautiful side the Cotswolds and some truly unique treasures. He shared a ton of local stories and knowledge that unless you were a local no one would know.
I’d recommend to anyone and everyone!
