Your Paris evening begins near the Eiffel Tower, where you’ll meet your host and climb aboard a luxury Bateaux Parisiens sightseeing boat. Take a seat in the elegant dining room surrounded by large windows and enjoy a complimentary glass of welcome Champagne.
Make your dinner selection from an à la carte menu of classic French cuisine (see Itinerary below for a sample menu). While you savor each of the three gourmet courses, enjoy the vocal and instrumental stylings of onboard musicians for a true bistro atmosphere. French wine and mineral water accompany your meal.
As the boat glides along the UNESCO World Heritage-listed riverbanks of the Seine River, see the famous monuments of Paris bathed in the golden glow of sunset. When darkness falls, admire monuments like the Eiffel Tower, Louvre Museum, Ile de la Cité, and Musée d’Orsay illuminated against the night sky.
Step out into the open-air deck for a breath of fresh evening air and immerse yourself in the romance of the City of Lights. At the end of your cruise, step back onto solid ground back at the original departure point.
They cancelled the cruise because of the virus before official closures, offered a dinner instead before askimg us if we wanted a replacement hoping to get a refund, would not process refund on the phone had to email for thst and did not get a confirmation So our of money out of cruise, they should have offered an instant refund
Purchased tickets almost 3 weeks in advance, only to show up at the ship to be told the cruise was cancelled due to issues with the boat. Asked about refund and was told I had to speak with viator for a refund. Horrible communication and customer service!!
Excellent food and pleasant scenery. There was a variety of options to choose from the menu and I enjoyed each of my 3 courses. The boat ride was wonderful and passing by all the monuments up close at night was beautiful. I would recommend this tour to any friends visiting Paris!
River Cruise in Wrong Direction: see the factories of Paris!
, Mar 2020
Booked and paid in advance with Viator for family of 5; looking forward to seeing the sights of Paris so we paid extra (on top of already expensive tickets) to ensure window seats. When we arrived we were informed that as the river was high the cruise would not follow the normal route but would go in the opposite direction, hence excluding most of the interesting sights of Paris and the main reason we paid to go on the cruise! Mostly we saw what looked like factories and people’s homes. As “compensation” we were given tickets for a sightseeing cruise on an alternative date (open) but these are no use to us as we are leaving Paris. My complaints and request for a partial refund at the time fell on deaf ears. Felt totally cheated and very foolish for paying in advance. Our hotel then informed us that they could have secured a booking without paying in advance. We then would have had a choice on whether or not to go on the cruise in the wrong direction!!
However the food and entertainment was reasonable. Service was average; expected far more at that price.
This was one of my highlights in Paris. To start with, we had the most knowledge waiter who would tell us a great deal of information, history and hot spots as we cruised down the Seine River. We did have a window seat and I suggest these seats, if not you can definitely see from the middle of the boat. Second of all food, wine, dessert was fantastic. I read there wasn’t enough food on a few reviews, there was plenty of everything. Two bottles of wine, choices of dinner and dessert just perfect. Lastly, thank you Viator! We saw 24 hours before there was going to be heavy rains and we had cancelled and booked for the next evening because they had an opening. This is one reason why I only use Viator’s because you can call them directly and they are accommodating. I had used Viator's in Venice too and was very pleased with their tours.
This was a great experience. We missed the first boat and they were very accommodating and got us on the second boat. The service was very good and our waiter was super nice and gave us French lessons.
